Our Story​
girl.IT was founded in April 2024 with one clear mission: to help businesses navigate and thrive in times of technological transformation. When the rise of artificial intelligence began reshaping industries and redefining how work gets done, I quickly recognized a critical need, not just for technical expertise, but for education. Businesses needed guidance to understand AI, its capabilities, and real-world use cases, to effectively adopt these tools and transform their operations, products, and processes.

In December 2023, I embarked on a deep dive into AI, preparing for what I saw as a fundamental shift in how we work. What became clear was that while AI engineers and developers play an essential role, the future of AI adoption depends equally, if not more, on the people who use these solutions every day. Employees need to be AI-fluent, capable of understanding and leveraging AI tools to enhance their roles, decision-making, and productivity. girl.IT was built to guide businesses through that journey, ensuring their teams are prepared, upskilled, and ready to thrive in an AI-powered workplace.

But preparing today’s workforce is only half of the equation. Tomorrow’s professionals, the students of today, must also be ready for the future they are entering upon graduation. That’s why Team.AI was created as an extension of girl.IT, with a dedicated focus on high school and college-level students. By teaching young people about AI’s capabilities and real-world applications, we help equip them with the knowledge and confidence to enter a workforce where AI is not just a tool, but the foundation of how businesses operate.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Belhaven University and is certified in Microsoft Azure AI, Amazon AWS AI, and Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt.
